Festival of the Cranes

Each season, almost at the end of the year, the Common European Crane migrates following the western route in search of food and warmth to spend the winter. And it is precisely in Extremadura where more than 80,000 of these birds find the ideal wintering place. This is why the Festival of the Cranes is held in Moheda Alta Peri-Urban Park in Navalvillar de Pela (Badajoz), one of its favourite places, to celebrate their arrival and to observe them in a habitat where they feel at home.
